Xiaomi HyperOS Bootloader Unlocking Guide
Prerequisites:
- You must have a Xiaomi account for at least 30 days. If you don't have an account, you will have to wait 30 days if you are going to open a new account. You can use this if you already have an account. But keep in mind that an account has a monthly bootloader unlock limit. You can't use the same account on too many devices.
Step 1: Updating the Xiaomi Community App
- Update the Xiaomi Community app to version 5.3.31 or later. At the time of writing this article, the current version of Google Play is 5.3.30, so if your application is in a lower version, you can download and install the APK file from this link.
Step 2: Changing Region Settings
- Go to "Me" in the app and set your region to "Global" by clicking on "Settings > Change Region".
Step 3: Bootloader Unlock
- From the "Me" section, click on the "Unlock Bootloader" option. This option may not appear immediately; If you don't see it, close the app and wait a while, then try again.
Step 4: Submitting an Application
- Click on the "Apply for Unlock" option. If you receive a warning that says "You have been granted access to 15/02/2024", the date may vary here. We wrote such a date for the sake of example, if you got a date, your transaction is complete. However, if you receive an alert that says "Application quota reached", try again at 7:00 p.m. Since it is according to Chinese time, it can tell you 00:00.
Step 5: Open Developer Options
- Go to Settings > About Phone and tap OS Version 8-10 times. Developer options will open.
- Then go to Settings > Additional Settings > Developer Options and add your account by clicking on "Mi Unlock Status". If you receive a warning that it has been successfully added, you can open the bootloader on the computer using the Mi Unlock application after 72 hours (3 days).
By following these steps, you can successfully open the HyperOS bootloader on your Xiaomi device. Keep in mind that it's important that each step is completed properly, and you may need to wait a certain amount of time for some steps to take effect.
