MIUI Bootloader Unlock Now Available Without PC (Phone to Phone)
MIUI bootloader unlock is now available without a PC, using a phone-to-phone method. This method requires an Android phone with OTG cable for ADB debugging, and a second phone to install the flashing scripts.
Step 1: Settings on the main phone
- Go to Settings > About phone.
- Tap on the MIUI version multiple times until Developer options are activated.
- Go to Settings > Additional settings > Developer options.
- Enable OEM unlocking and USB debugging.
- Go to Mi unlock status and tap on Add account and device.
Step 2: Installing Flash scripts on the second phone
- Download and install the following APKs on the second phone:
- Connect the main phone to the OTG pass-through cable on the second phone.
- Boot the main phone into fastboot mode.
- Open the Termux app on the second phone and follow the commands below:
termux-setup-storage pkg update pkg install python git git clone https://github.com/RohitVerma882/termux-miunlock chmod +x termux-miunlock/get_token.sh ./termux-miunlock/get_token.sh --product=''PRODUCT NAME'' --token=''TERMUX TK CODE'' ''MI TOOL CODE''
Notes:
- Replace
PRODUCT NAME
with the product name of your main phone. - Replace
TERMUX TK CODE
with the Termux TK code that you can get from the Termux app on the second phone. - Replace
MI TOOL CODE
with the Mi tool code that you can get from the Mi Unlock Status screen on the main phone.
Once you have run the commands above, the bootloader unlock script will be generated and saved to the Termux app's storage.
To unlock the bootloader:
- Boot the main phone into fastboot mode again.
- On the second phone, open the Termux app and navigate to the storage directory where the bootloader unlock script is saved.
- Run the bootloader unlock script.
If the bootloader unlock is successful, you will see a message confirming the same.
Note: If this is your first time unlocking your bootloader or device using a new MIUI account, follow step 2 after 7 days.
